Phi Theta Kappa

Thursday Phi Theta Kappa had there last chapter meeting of theyear.  They had a few different topics to discuss. The beginningof the meeting started with sharing the information on theinduction ceremony, which will be held April 29th. Andy Long, MCC Vice President asked PTK to conduct an informal survey of teachers for an award to be given out at honors convocation.PTK found out that the blood drive was a success, getting 34 pints with their goal being 31! The last thing on the agenda was a fundraiser called the smash-a-thon. This will be held April 15thfrom 9-2. There will be more information on this event soon! Also, finals are quickly approaching! We have 5 weeks left of school. So if you need any help at all there is a full staff at the library and there are tutors down stairs in the Student Success Center! Feel free to stop by!!

Back to the Grind!

Spring Break is up and now we are back to the books. Transition from a week of vacationing in the nice sun to hitting the books at full force can be somewhat of a hard transition to do. I am a pure proof of that, and I’m sure that a lot of you can agree with me that it’s a little tough getting back into the groove.
But we don’t have to wait long for another break! Wednesday is Inter-high day! Yes, that means we get another day off! With a high of 74 I’m sure we are all looking forward to it!

Final Week of March

On Monday the Vice President’s Leadership Class is going to have Dr. Brian Orbert, the Area Dean of Student Life, talk about his many years of leadership opportunities.

Wednesday is Inter-High day at MCC so remember all day classes are canceled because the classrooms will be used to give tests to the high school students. If you have a night class you still have to attend, it is not canceled. Thursday the 27th there is a PTK (the international honor society organization for community and junior colleges) meeting at 12:15.
